Run Forest Run!

So this video was taken over a week ago and so Forest is now much more sturdy and confident while walking. Isn't he the cutest?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIDGER!!! I am going to follow the trend that my sisters have set and list 25 things I love about my babe!

1. Bridger can suction his upper lip to his nose just like me (and other talented McBrides)
2. He has the best looking legs- not too skinny and just the right amount of muscle
3. He's got muscles- he could even carry me while I was pregnant
4. Bridger has a very even temperament and I have hardly ever seen him get upset
5. He is an excellent board and card game player and makes playing games challenging and FUN!
6. He has stunning hazel eyes
7. He is great dancer
8. Bridger is selfless.
9. He has curly hair (when it is grown out).
10. He has a strong testimony in the gospel.
11. On swings Bridger can get to the point when the ropes go slack in only 5 pumps!
12. It was Bridger's idea to have a red themed kitchen - red is his favorite color.
13. He loves the Office
14. He will stay up late talking and laughing with me
15. He's fluent in ASL
16. He is a brilliant accountant and he has only been one for a few months now
17. He loves being in the outdoors
18. He has a hard time remembering lyrics to songs but that doesn't stop him from singing along!
19.Bridger likes to have fun and so our life is an adventure
20. He had more fun with the boxes than the presents on Christmas
21. He climbs everything!
22. He thinks I am gorgeous ... and helps me to see it too
23. Bridger is a fun Dad and Forest thinks he is the coolest!
24. He has freckles across his nose and on his shoulders
25. He's Bridger!

Dear Bridger,
Today is the first day of busy season. The next 3 months you will be working long hours and late nights. I know I will be eating most of my dinners alone and that Forest will probably be in bed by the time you get home, but we will have our weekends together! I know you will do a great job this busy season and will show your superiors what an amazing worker you are! I am so proud of all the hard work you do! You are a great accountant, a really fun dad, and an amazing husband!

my very smart one year old

Instead of catching you up on our very eventful last month (so eventful I had no time to blog... or maybe I did but I decided take a nap instead) I am going to blog about how intelligent my 1 year old son is! Yes, I know I can not believe he is 1 either! How did he grow up so fast!?

Forest has become a signing wiz! I can't believe the signs he has caught onto even though I am not always consistent. Forest can sign:

• Food
• More
• All done (he made up his own sign for this one which works great!)
• Please
• Milk
• Thank you or maybe he is signing mom - still not sure what he is saying!
• And right now I am trying to teach him Fruit, Cracker, toilet, and bed.

Forest can also tell you what a sheep says "ba" he says it in a sweet high voice it is adorable and what a dog says (he breaths heavy). He also trys to do a horse sound but ends up saying "AW" and shaking his head like a horse! For some reason today he will not tell me what a sheep says he just shakes his head no. humph!

If you ask Forest to find his nose he always points to his hair- at least he is consistent right?

Anyways Forest is adorable but he is reeking havoc on the book shelf behind me so I need to cut this blog short!

Forest's Best Friend

Dear Bridger,

Right now I can hear you reading "Pajama Time" to Forest and I just wanted to tell you what a great Dad you are! Forest loves you so much, his face truly lights up when you get home from work. I am so thankful for how involved you are in raising Forest. I love you!

SURPRISE!

Two Saturdays ago Bridger told me that he had a SURPRISE activity for the day. Since Twilight had just come out to theaters and I had told Bridger numerous amounts of times that I really wanted to see it, I assumed that going to see Twilight would be the "surprise activity"! But to my surprise, Bridger took Forest and Me to a Honda and Harley Davidson Motorcycle shop! Wahoo! Just the activity I was dying to do!

I think Forest wants one too!

Saturday Market

Even in the cold of winter the Portland Saturday Market is still going strong, which we are very thank full for because we were able to get this ADORABLE hat for Forest (at a reasonable price)! A few weeks ago we tried to put Forest's last years winter hats on him and realized that his noggin is HUGE in comparison. So now he has this stylin' hat that is extra warm and soft!

And that hat looks good no matter how much food Forest has on his face!
