Forest's Best Friend

Dear Bridger,

Right now I can hear you reading "Pajama Time" to Forest and I just wanted to tell you what a great Dad you are! Forest loves you so much, his face truly lights up when you get home from work. I am so thankful for how involved you are in raising Forest. I love you!

SURPRISE!

Two Saturdays ago Bridger told me that he had a SURPRISE activity for the day. Since Twilight had just come out to theaters and I had told Bridger numerous amounts of times that I really wanted to see it, I assumed that going to see Twilight would be the "surprise activity"! But to my surprise, Bridger took Forest and Me to a Honda and Harley Davidson Motorcycle shop! Wahoo! Just the activity I was dying to do!

I think Forest wants one too!

Saturday Market

Even in the cold of winter the Portland Saturday Market is still going strong, which we are very thank full for because we were able to get this ADORABLE hat for Forest (at a reasonable price)! A few weeks ago we tried to put Forest's last years winter hats on him and realized that his noggin is HUGE in comparison. So now he has this stylin' hat that is extra warm and soft!

And that hat looks good no matter how much food Forest has on his face!

new computer = bliss

Our laptop stopped working mid July. We decided that we would buy a new computer once we were settled in Oregon. So, FINALLY my new computer arrived yesterday at 10 in the morning! Merry Christmas to me!

my very neglected blog

I have neglected my blog for far too long. So here is catch up on the last 3 months or so...

• Bridger and I celebrated our one year anniversary! Wahoo go us! and we are still happy as can be! I LOVE YOU BRIDGER! YOU ARE THE BEST HUSBAND EVA'!
• Forest became a rolling over maniac around his 4th month
• Forest started eating baby food. He has only had vegetables and Cheerios so far.
• We were sealed as a family in the Manti temple on June 21, 2008!!! Forest was so happy that he cried the whole time... very loudly! But it was a very very special day! I promise to post some of these pictures once our computer is up and running. Part of Bridger's Family and part of my family were able to make it for our special day and it was so fun having family out here for the weekend!
• I got bangs and my hair highlighted, so as my sister Wendy would say I look HAWT!
• We have gone swimming a few times and Forest has really started to like it! He is so cute in his little swimming outfit!
• We moved out of our teeny tiny apartment. Kind of sad but really happy to be out!
• Forest can totally get around these days. He army crawls EVERY WHERE! yikes! and gets into EVERY THING!
• Bridger found an awesome apartment in Oregon! WAHOO! it is so cute and so nice! we can not wait to move!
• I have lost all (and I mean ALL) of my pregnancy weight gain and feel o' so good!
• Bridger and I saw the new Batman movie "Dark Knight" last weekend and it was AWESOME!!!!! yikes i love Christain Bale!
• Forest can say "MOMA"... sorta!
• This is Bridger and my last week of school here at BYU! Bridger will be graduating in 2 weeks!

There has been so much more that has gone on these past few months but these are some of the highlights! I promise to be such a better blogger once we have moved to Oregon and our computer is running!

Forest's Blessing

Forest was blessed on May 11, 2008. Bridger did an amazing job with the blessing and was the most spiritual blessing I have ever listened to! unfortenetly we did not just take a picture of Forest by himself. Woops!
we had so much fun with the Field Family over the special weekend!

Rock and Rolling

This is an old video but is the only one we have of Forest rolling over. He is now a master at rolling over. He can roll over from front to back and from back to front. He can actually roll all the way across the room! he is so awesome and strong!

The weather has been so beautiful these last few weeks it inspired us to do some chalk drawings out on our sidewalk!

Our Special Time

Every morning Forest wakes up around 6 am and it is my favorite time to be with him! Although he is grumpy while I change his diaper prior to eating (he is hungry and just wants to eat) and I am sleepy, it is a really sweet time for just the two of us. Forest is really happy during and after his feeding. During this time Forest loves to look up at me with his sweet big eyes and kind of smile while nursing! mm! It really warms my heart up! He will then fall asleep in my arms as I sing and rock him back to sleep! It is just such a special time for the two of us; there are no interruptions, no errands that need to be run, and we are both happy to see each other! This is actually an older picture and is not during our "special time," but it is a cute picture of us together. On another note do you notice that Forest is actually tanner than me... :(

The last few days have been really exciting with Forest!! He has developed such a cute personality and has started to smile ALOT! It just makes my whole day when he flashes me one of his adorable smiles! I tried to upload a video of him talking and smiling with us but was not able to. Hopefully in a day or two i will be able to upload the video so stay posted!

Forest

Having a baby has totally turned my life around. I can now run on very little sleep, it's a good thing Forest is so dang cute otherwise I would not be as willing to wake up every 3-4 hours at night! He is so amazing and perfect! I just love the little guy! Today he is 3 weeks and 3 days old! he has gained 5 oz. from his birth weight, can do the YMCA, and is as cute as a button! He really is the cutest baby I have ever seen! It is fun to be a mom, a little tiring and a hard some days but overall I love it! I still can't believe that Forest is MY baby! He still sleeps a lot but it so special to have him rest on my chest and to listen to his soft breathing! He is just so precious!
