Top Speed

With the weather becoming warmer, Forest's nursery class has started going outside during church to enjoy the sunshine. On the north side of our chapel is a big grassy hill that ends at a side walk. As it turns out this sidewalk is a very efficient way to stop a speeding two year old going top speed down the grassy hill, but it is not the softest landing.According to his nursery leader he didn't cry much. You gotta love boys!
Onto a completely different topic... Westly is growing up!
He now grabs for toys
Loves to sit up
And will be moving in no time!
Westly loves tummy time.. as does his big brother!

I love parks!

One of the great things about living in Oregon are the awesome parks.
The following pictures are from the park behind our favorite library.
There are actually 4 ponds with a walking path going around all of them. Also at this park are tons of great bridges, which Forest loves!

Plus there are lots of ducks and geese.
Anyways this park is one of our favorites.

Potty Talk

The time has come to potty train and there is no turning back!
At lunch on Tuesday of this week, Forest told me he needed to go poo. I thought he was telling me that he had already gone poo (he usually tells me AFTER the fact) but this was not the case. So I whisked him off to sit on the toilet. Forest sat on the toilet for a good five minutes while reading a few magazines and chatting with me. After more time had passed I decided it was time to get off and told Forest that maybe another day he could go poo on the potty and that we needed to put a new diaper on, but Forest shook his head and told me again that he needed to go poo. Only a few seconds later did the deed!
Let the Laundry begin!

Home Alone

Today is a monumental day for me. Since having Westly I have had at least one person at home with me to help out with the two kiddos, but today that has all changed! Bridger's parents were able to make it out to Virginia and have left me to fend for myself. yikes! I am feelings worried all though I have no need.. yet!
So far Forest has woken up in a good mood and has eaten his breakfast, and part of mine, and is now playing with his cars while I am posting this blog. Westly woke up around 7, ate, and is now back asleep. He is starting to make some grunting noises so I might not have much time left.
I just don't know what I'll do when both start to cry and want something.
Also, how do moms get things done like Laundry and dishes and dinner? It has been so nice having either Lisa or my mom do my laundry, dishes, and fix dinner. I don't know if I can remember how to do those things. (I do realize I am using up precious time by blogging)
I don't think I will be able to make it out to places for a while. Just the thought of taking both kids out all alone makes me start to sweat. I know this sounds weird but I swear I have started sweating more now that I have two kids.
So to sum up this blog... 2 kids + no help= a sweaty mom who no longer knows how to do the dishes. YIKES!

Westly's Blessing

Westly was blessed this last Sunday.
He did an awesome job with no crying.. I wish I could say the same for Forest.
It has been so nice to have Bridger's parents here to be apart of Westly's special day.
Thank goodness for all the snow back east we have been able to keep Lisa and Chris here for an extra 3 days so far! Wahoo! I love all the help!
It was so fun to have my sister Heather and her family come up for the blessing! Her kids are the cutest!

A red sweater and a new church outfit

In the two following pictures, Forest is wearing a sweater that Bridger wore when he was the same age!
I love this sweater for a 3 good reasons:
1. It zips up the back so Forest can't get out of it.
2. It is totally cute on him
3. With Forest being in the below 5% in weight I love when clothes make him look chubby and this sweater does just that!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Forest got a new little church outfit that is totally adorable!
This is about the best picture I got of the outfit since Forest has a really hard time standing still for pictures.
My two boys in their Sunday best.

Art Day

I have meant to post these pictures for a month now but have procrastinated for some reason.

Forest loves to paint and is very serious about his art work.
After painting with a brush Forest decided to try out his hands. At first he wasn't so sure about getting his hands so dirty.
The finished products
The painting on the left is with a brush and the one on the right is fingers only.
Now every time we go into the garage Forest asks to "Paint Please!" It is very cute but it is difficult trying to convince a 2 year old that we will paint another day.
