Random Thoughts, Notes and Comments

This is going to be a random blog (I am sure you have already guessed that by the title)!
Here are some thoughts, notes and comments that have crossed my mind today:
  • I am sitting here wearing Bridger's biking shorts under my yoga pants and I am glad that they are not as tight on my legs as they are on Bridger's.
  • While playing with blocks today Forest counted 6-7-8! Usually I hear him counting 2-3-2. I think he is a genius!
  • Forest is wearing 12month old clothes today all of which fit funny.. I think I will change his outfit after nap time.
  • I am totally sick of Forest's runny nose! It makes me a little gaggy to see it.
  • I wish the lady from craigslist with the dresser would email me back letting me know if the dresser is still available. It is such a perfect dresser and so cheap!
  • Why do 2 year old boys never like to keep their socks and pants on?
  • I still need to buy Heather's book for Christmas before Saturday
  • What is it about pregnancy and tiredness? I need a boost of energy today -waking up at 6:45 does not help :(
  • Forest's little chicken legs are my favorite!
  • Forest loves this Silent Night book and always wants me to sing it to him. He calls it the "baby Jesus book" (Thanks for the book mom)
  • Aww! I love our big windows in our living room, especially on sunny days like today!
  • Only 16 days till Utah and only 18 till Forest is 2 (by the way, Forest will tell you that he is 2 if you ask him how old he is)
  • The longer I sit here blogging the less likely I will go biking so I need to stop typing...now!

I have to add at least one picture

So I just realized that the last 2 blogs have Forest in this same shirt. He does wear it all the time! If it is not hidden and Forest's sees his truck shirt he has to wear it! How does he already have an opinion on clothes at the age of 2?

Best Buddies

Forest and Emerson are best buds and they play surprisingly well together!
Forest Loves Emerson and gets so excited when Emerson is coming over.

What Lies Beneath

You might think that this looks like a nicely made bed... but under these pillows lurks someone very small and mischievous..
If you look closely you can get a glimpse of the monster himself.
Although he looks innocent he can destroy a perfectly made bed in 2.5 seconds!

A Very Productive Day

For the past week Forest has been really sick with a bad cold and so while be quarantined at home I decided to get to work. To show off a little here is a list of all that was accomplished:

  • cleaned kitchen (including wiping down all cabinets, soaking stove top and disinfecting everything)

  • cleaned out and wiped down fridge inside and out

  • dusted

  • vacuumed

  • swept and mopped

  • disinfected table and place mats

  • disinfected Forest's high chair

  • wiped down walls and door handles

  • made bed

  • laundry

  • and cleaned master bath!
I accomplished all of this while taking many breaks to read books, play trucks and run "turbo" around the couch with Forest.

On a different note. Isn't this a sweet photo of Bridger and Forest?

Trick or Treat

This is Forest. He is a good little monkey but always very curious!Forest loves candyand learned how to say "trick or treat" in his sweet high voice pretty quickly!Forest did not quite understand the whole trick or treating thing. As soon as the door opened at each house he would walk right in while saying "trick or treat".Forest only had one break down at a house that had a moving decorative mummy. It scared him pretty bad, the rest of the night he was scared of just about everything.

Mr. Adorable

So we have been taking a million pictures of Forest recently. Here are just a few of my favorites (in no particular order because the computer is being annoying and not letting me switch them around):
Forest modeling
Thanks Mom for the great puzzle Forest loves it and wants to take the trucks everywhere.

Forest can hang like this for an incredibly long period of time.

such a cute little bottom lip

This is the only shot I got of him smiling this day.

If you look closely in this photo you will notice that Forest actually has an under bite like his dad.

Forest again playing with the truck puzzle

Such a fun boy! Always on the move and keeping me on my toes.

28 weeks and totally showing!

So today Bridger took a million pictures of my belly with our new camera. Even I have to admit they turned out pretty cute (I think it's the camera)!Forest loves to kiss my belly - Although in this picture I had to hold his head still so he wouldn't move.

I LOVE SATURDAYS!

I love Saturdays because...

We can give as many kisses as we want
We can laugh all day
We can pick our noses

We can smile crooked smiles

and We get to all be together
How was your Saturday? What did you do?

Little Helper

It is once again time for Bridger to start studying for the 3rd section of the CPA.
Thankfully this time he has a little help from a very helpful 22 month old.

p.s. Again sorry for the poor picture quality. Our camera is broken and so I am forced to take pictures with my phone.

A few weeks ago my friend Ryan posted a video of her daughter in her Halloween costume. The video inspired me to get out Forest's Halloween costume. I purchased this costume over 2 years ago and have been so excited for the year when it would fit him. Its a little big as you can see from the video but it will do and with Forest's small size this costume will probably fit him for at least 3 Halloweens!

p.s. Sorry for the poor picture quality I was using my phone to record it.

Forest's Favorite Things

1. Forest Loves to make a mess - especially with his food.
2. Forest LOVES to be naked! It is a fight to put clothes on his little body!
3. Forest's favorite song is: Boom Boom Pow by the Black Eyed Peas. He will sing "boom boom boom!" all day!
4. Forest loves Bikes, especially motorcycles. Every time he sees a bike or motorcycle he runs up to it screaming "BIKE!!!" and then he will say "vroom vroom" while his hands are in the handle bar position.

5. Forest's favorite stuffed animal and best friend is Moe the Moose. Forest takes Moe everywhere and showers him with kisses and hugs all day. Forest will also talk to Moe, feed Moe, will tickle Moe's belly and will play peek-a-boo with him.
6. Last but not least Forest's Favorite person in all the world is his Daddy! Forest Loves his Daddy (and so do I)!

Why not to give Forest a piece of pizza at a park

If you give Forest a piece of Pizza at a park he will only take maybe one bite and then set it down on the bench without mommy's knowledge.

Mommy, not aware of the pizza, will shift a few times while sitting on the hard bench seat and will end up sitting on the pizza.

The stranger next to Mommy will point out that Mommy is sitting on the pizza, and Mommy will be embarrassed by the strangers look of disgust.

The rest of the time at the park Mommy now has to hold her hand over her behind because there is now an oil stain on her gray skirt.

Now Mommy can not wear that skirt ever again because the pizza grease stain did not come out in the wash and that is why you do not give Forest a piece of pizza at a park!

This and That

The following pictures are over 2 months old, but deserve to be blogged about.
Forest has become quite the climber. He can easily get up onto his table, chairs, our dinning table, the coffee table, and one time somehow got out of his crib (we moved the crib down some and he has not attempted it since, I think he is still traumatized)

Forest has become a champ at puzzles. Although he does not put the colors on in the right order he can easily put the rings on the stand, and has become crazy fast at it.

Forest loves books, especially the book Tails by Matthew Van Fleet. Forest can turn all the pages to reveal the picture behind or he can slide the tabs out to move the tails of the animals. Forest will actually anticipate what's coming next and has his hand in the right place for the next challenge.

Anyways Forest is a smarty and that is that!
